      Thanks for the questions!

I worked in an Italian restaurant when I was 18 and along with my wage the chief would always give me a pizza at the end of my shift. Pepperoni is the best!

To become a PhD student requires at least three years at university (I took four)! So I suppose that’s a lot of hours. The PhD is another three or four years (in the UK) and I’m three years in so nearly a doctor! The term ‘PhD student’ is also a little misleading as your not really studying like at school or university – it’s just like having a full time job. It’s really fun and rewarding and you get to meet a lot of young (well I guess old to you!) passionate people. If you’re in to science then you should definitely consider it. It’s hard work but worth it!
