Every day is varied. You get to meet loads of interesting people. And you never know if you are on the verge of an amazing discovery!

This is quite similar to another question so forgive me for the Copy/Paste!!!

For me, my three favorite things are:

      1) I get to meet with and work with lots of passionate, interesting people.
      2) I have the opportunity to travel the world to places I would not be able to have visited otherwise.
      3) The feeling you get when you discover something completely new. To see something in a way that no one else has ever done before is really exciting and I think it is what drives a lot of us scientists!

Learning new things, finding out stuff that no-one else knows, helping to contribute to a larger topic that may have benefits to lots of people.
