Because its a rewarding, exciting job that can be reasonably well paid. There’s always something new to learn and find out and you’ll be helping to discover things that will contribute towards our knowledge of a topic and help future generations.

Such a brilliant question! I would not recommend someone to become a scientist until they are sure about that they find enjoyment in science activities. In fact to be successful in any profession one has to enjoy whatever they chose to do. More success often means more money however more money not necessarily means more happiness!! Do what you like most and I assure you that you will make positive contribution to that field of work.

There are a lot of possibilities from a science career and also a lot of opportunities. I haven’t been disappointed.
