I qualified as a pharmacist in 2006 so I must have been 23 at the time. I became an Antimicrobial pharmacist when I was 32. However, a scientist is someone who studies science…. so technically you are a scientist already! You’re just not getting paid for the privilege!

My first real experience in a science lab was when I was 20 working at Kew Gardens in London. It’s probably the reason I’m still a scientist today!

I would say that i was 16 when i started studying science more than anything else. I got my first job as a scientist after university though, at 21.
