• Question: what makes the antibiotics so addictive

      Antibiotics aren’t addictive in the same way that something like morphine is. But, people go to the doctors and often expect to be prescribed them for a lot of diseases that aren’t bacterial.

      I don’t think antibiotics are addictive BUT there is definitely a culture around antibiotic use. Some people think they will get better faster if they are prescribed an antibiotic. This is not always true, especially if it is not a bacterial infection. Also some infections get batter by themselves, without antibiotics.
