It was mostly good. We were generally pretty skint as a family most of the time but i don’t think we ever really did without. I had some good friends and some less good ones but i was lucky in that i never really had any problems, i didn’t ever really get any comments about my ginger hair either!
I have 2 brothers and a sister and i never really got on that well with my sister, since we moved out though things have been a lot better.
I enjoyed school and i was an air cadet for years which was great, i got to go shooting and flying 🙂
I always had a part time job and that could be hard juggling exams and work so i always seemed to be pretty busy, though somehow there was always time for some drinking and socialising (only after i turned 18 though, obviously!)

Good. Pretty normal. Had a mum, dad, younger sister & hamster. Played a lot of netball and played the flute in a youth orchestra. Enjoyed netball, hated flute!

I only grew up to 5 feet 3 inches, told my young wife when we first met that my height is 5 feet 4 inches though, wanted to grow more and still think every day when I learn something new I grow up a bit more 🙂
