• Question: why do your goals help research into drug resistant bacteria?

      My work helps conserve the antibiotics we currently already have and keep them as effective as possible. I leave the research into drug resistant bacteria to the other scientists in this group!

      I am hoping to identify a new genetic pathway that leads to antibiotic resistance. If we know this, then we can look at interfering with that pathway to see if its good as a potential treatment target.
